DAY 01 – USA/TEL-AVIV

We depart late in the afternoon from USA York on board a schedule flight for Tel-Aviv. Full service on board.

DAY 02 – TEL-AVIV

Upon arrival in Tel-Aviv we’ll be met by our representative and our tour guide and transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03 – CAESAREA/MEGIDDO/CANA/TIBERIAS

We depart our hotel for Caesarea, the Roman Capital of Palestine. Here we view the beautifully restored Roman Amphitheater, the ruins of the ancient town, the harbor and the aqueduct. We travel to Megiddo, one of Solomon’s chariot cities and the site of the coming Battle of Armageddon. We continue to Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus, past Cana, the site of His first miracle, and onto Tiberias for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03 – CAPERNAUM/TABGHA/MT. OF BEATITUDES/JORDAN RIVER

This morning we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum and visit the ruins of the ancient Synagogue. Continue to Tabgha, site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, then onto the Golan Heights, Mt. Hermon and Bania, one of the sources of the Jordan River. Visit the recently discovered boat from the time when Jesus lived in Galilee. We return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05 – TIBERIAS/BEIT SHE’AN/JERICHO/QUMRAN/JERUSALEM

We depart after breakfast for Beit She’an at the foothills of Gilboa Mountains, where King Saul fell fighting the Philistines. View the fascinating recent excavations before continuing south through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest city on earth. Here, the walls came down in Joshua’s day. One can see Elisha’s Fountain and Mt. Temptation. We continue to Qumran and view the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. We view the Good Samaritan Inn and Bethany, home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus, and then to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight

DAY 06 – JERUSALEM/MT. OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM

This morning we get to know “Jerusalem the Golden”. We drive to the Mt. of Olives, where we visit the Chapel of the Ascension and follow the path down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of all Nations. A short drive through the Kidron Valley brings us by way of Absalom’s Pillar and Zechariah’s Tomb. We then proceed around Mt. Zion to the Upper Room, traditional scene of the Last Supper. We continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 07 – OLD CITY/GARDEN TOMB

We begin the day by visiting the fabulous model of Jerusalem, depicting the city at the time of our Lord. Continue to the Old City for our walking tour. We visit the Pool of Bethesda, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Temple Area and glimpse at the Dome of the Rock and El Aksa Mosque, King David Street, the Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Joppa and Damascus Gate and the Western Wall. Complete the afternoon by visiting the Garden Tomb for worship and Holy communion. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 08 – MASADA

This morning we visit the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, more than 1,300 feet below sea level. Its leaden, heavily sutured waters have always intrigued visitors who come to its shores, and time permitting, we will take a dip in this sea. We continue to Masada and ascend by cable car to the remarkable ruins of this fortress built by Herod the Great, where from 70 to 73 A.D. Jewish Zealots made their last stand against the Romans. We return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

DAY 09 – JERUSALEM

Today we have a full day at leisure. Explore the Old City on our own for the last minute shopping. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 10 – TEL-AVIV/USA

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our return flight to US, where we arrive in the afternoon of the same day.
